Love brought me to cooking
I was fortunate enough to know a girl who grew up with great food in her family, which was not a miracle because they were a tasteful and the hotel was very good. Yes, that was how it was back then.
I remember exactly how my first experiences in the hotel kitchen made me feel. It was a groundbreaking moment. I decided right then I would study to become a professional cook once I finishes my schooling.
I completed my training at the star restaurant the OX in Stetten in the Remstal. (Verify the locations)
With my training successfully finished it became very clear that I had to go to Munich, where I was lucky to work with Eckhard Witzigmann and Heinz Winkler. I maximized my skills and gained the practical knowledge of grand cuisine.
On my culinary journey I found many teachers who always helped me. Although I have to admit that Witzigmann and Winkler particularly shaped me, as their style of cooking corresponded to my personal style. It was important to me that the products used for cooking retain their natural characteristics and remain the true stars of the kitchen. Then I dared to go into self-employment. In Bad Urach where I opened my first restaurant. After three successful years I took over the Hotel-Restaurant Ochsen-Post in Tiefenbronn, where I won the first star in the Michelin Guide and also received top awards in all other leading restaurants.
Dates for children cooking courses
The cooking course is ideal for children between the ages
of 9 and 14 years old. starts at 10:00 and ends at 13:00.
For birthday parties or other events, we can arrange extra dates for groups between 7-10 children.
The children will learn to cook a 3-course menu which is then eaten in the restaurant.
Mrs. Weis will provide table guidance for each meal.
The price for participation per event and per child is 22.00 Euro incl. VAT.
